1968 Fairchild Heli-Porter Pilatus PC6 / CH2 "Pilatus Porter"

The outstanding features of the small transporter built by Pilatus Aircraft Ltd in Stans, Switzerland are: extremely short take off and landing distances (a football field is sufficient), remarkable climbing performance, high robustness, large additional load in relation to the dead weight. The PC-6 Porter is usable for almost each function and indicates an impressing area of operations: Pax and material transport, medical and emergency service, measurement and photo flights, with spraying equipment for agricultural work and for fire fighting. It can land equipped with skis on glaciers and with floats on water and it's an ideal airplane for parachuting.

The Pilatus Porter attained world validity and made known the name Pilatus in all the world. Who knows Swiss cheese, Swiss clocks or the Swiss Army Knife knows as well the Pilatus Porter.
