The
YF-23 was also called the Black Widow II.
It is a Northrop design from the late
1980's and lost in competition to
Lockheed's F-22 Raptor. Only two of these
aircraft exist. This airplane was designed
to supercruise without afterburner and is
made of special materials for low
observable reasons.
